Rocky Broad Riverwalk: Chimney Rock Village + Town of Lake Lure

The Rocky Broad Riverwalk will extend approximately .75 miles from the eastern boundary of Chimney Rock Village, meander west along the Rocky Broad River, and connect to the Flowering Bridge in Lake Lure. This new resource will provide locals and visitors with additional walking opportunities, while connecting some of the area’s greatest assets.

Project Status

With the recent support of an RHI Legacy grant, the preliminary design for the project is underway. The Village is currently working with landowners along the river to secure a safe trail route.

Opportunities for Giving

To complete the First Broad Riverwalk will require multiple phases. Donation of all sizes are welcome and can help support the funding of trail sections, signage, and benches.
