Located in central Rutherford County, the Town of Ruth has exceptional access to the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, one of the County’s primary tourism assets. This 12-foot-wide paved trail runs straight through the heart of town and offers visitors a unique outdoor recreation experience. The trailhead in Ruth, with its 22 parking spaces, is directly adjacent to the 13.5-mile multi-use path and connects trail users with the many other amenities and communities along the trail. The Rutherford County Tourism Development Authority and the Rutherford Railroad Development Corporation are committed to enhancing the trail corridor within the Town of Ruth.
